Upon opening the box, there were two remote controls complete with batteries installed, there was a plastic piece that needed removing to allow the battery to work.The lamp is really bright and has many different functions such as strobe effect, smooth transitions mode, flashing transition mode and solid light. It is well-made and powered by a USB connection.The remote feels a little flimsy and can be finicky to use, not sure why there are two of them in the box either.Besides the relatively poor remote, the lamp is excellent and sits nicely in our living room. Although the kids have had many an argument over who should have it in their bedrooms!

I don’t normally write reviews but felt I needed to for this. I LOVE IT!!! It’s a great price and the lights are very pretty. Easy to change colours with the remote and makes no sounds at all whilst in operation.

I bought this to hopefully help my children sleep better, as they have a habit of waking up various times throughout the night. We have had it one night, and there wasn't a peep out of them. They fell asleep quicker than normal and didn't stir all night. The light can either light up the room or be lowered down to used as a night light. It's also well built, feels sturdy. But does come with a usb cable with no plug. This was no issue for us as we have lots of spare plugs. Would highly recommend.
